Getting extra days from Transmitter?

I got a message from Tandem/Dexcom system that I had 30 days left for my transmitter on 8/23/2022. I installed a new sensor just now, and sure enough, after a couple minutes I got warning that my transmitter had failed. This happens every time I need to use a new transmitter. So, I didn’t get 90 days from the transmitter. I keep hearing about how people get more than 90 days. Can anyone tell me how they do it? I was able to pop the transmitter out from my new sensor. What should I do next? Before, Tandem always sent me a replacement sensor, but I hate not getting full use out of my transmitter.
Thanks.

If your transmitter does not last 90 days, Dexcom will replace it under warranty. Call Dexcom. The transmitters are warrantied for 90 days but usually last between 100-110 days.

Did you look when you started the transmitter? You might have actually gotten 90 days out of it and the message saying you had 30 days to go might have been wrong.
I got a message in August saying I had 30 days left on a transmitter that I knew was wrong based on when I had started the transmitter. That was the first time I remember getting a 30 days left message and I thought it was strange that it was wrong. I just replaced the transmitter on the normal schedule based on when I had started it.

I regularly get messages about the days left on the transmitter and they have always been wrong. I just keep track of the time myself and change the transmitter accordingly. This has been going on since I started on the t-slim x2 system with CGM over 3 years ago. I ignore those messages.

In the App, if you check settings>transmitter> It will tell you when you activated it.

If it stops before 90 days they will give you a new one, call them.
