Hi Sandra,

There is no diet to prevent, eliminate or cure diabetes.

Type 2 is NOT characterized by the pancreas not producing enough insulin. Type 2 is having insulin resistance. Please check the basic facts of diabetes.

Pasta is not a healthy choice for people with diabetes. Grains cause high BG. One cup of pasta is a tiny portion size for a meal & most people would need more than this for a meal, so the carb count would be signficantly higher.

Sandra,

I’m concerned about the info on your blog insulin needles syringes blog. Do you have diabetes? Your blog contains misinformation, which can be a dangerous thing with a serious disease. Your info in quotes.

“The second type or diabetes insipdus is caused by defectiveness in the production of insulin inside the body. The body tissues resist to produce insulin when one is suffering from diabetes insipdus. However, there is no need for regular supplement of insulin if the patient is experiencing this type-two diabetes. To cure such disease, patients are strictly admonished to conduct physical exercise and have a balance diet at all times.”

Diabetes insipidus is a condition in which the kidneys are unable to conserve water. There’s tremendous thirst & excessive urination. Diabetes insipidous is NOT accompanied by hyperglycemia. Diet & exercise have no effect on diabetes inspidus. It is not a “second type of diabetes.”

“To fight diabetes, you have to know its causes. The main culprits of such disease are: too much eating of sugar-containing food, lack of exercise, intense stress, tension, and hereditary genes. Yes, diabetes can be inherited from the parents, too.”

No one knows the cause of either T1 or T2 diabetes.

As you’re talking about treatment, you need to distinguish between T1 & T2. Saying, “The medication would usually be a dose of insulin though” isn’t helpful.

Insulin isn’t a “body liquid.” It’s a hormone.

I urge you to do more research & edit your blog.
