ReliOn Ultima
I love acucheck performa. I find it more accurate at lower range which is incredibly important for type 1. I was testing and getting 4mmols on another meter and really I was 3mmols - I lived in hypo world for about 4 weeks and became extremely hypo unaware as a result. I have also tested both meters with same finger prick and definately 1 mmol different at lower range so perfoma for me is more accurate technology
Hello my daughters use optium xceed. The test strips come individually wrapped in foil and this is also the only tester i have found that also tests for ketones
The actual pricker that comes withthat is viscious - worth purchasing the soft click finger pricker for her - cannot feel them. It is the oly one that test for ketones so good to keep it handy in a cupboard somewhere. What are they like at low ranges?
Optium Xceed - but didnt want to scare anyone - each to there own
Their own
Yes, Walmart sells the Reli On Meter. Each strip is individually packed. Great little meter and the cost of the strips is low.
The packaging of many strips together is only a problem if the package has no salt in its lid. Without salt the moisture that enters the package will not be neutralized. The good old Boehringer stripes had salt in their lid (the lid is just thicker) but this changed after Roche took over.
The thing with the Accu Chek Compact (Highly recommend the PLUS model with the OLED display… sometimes called the Black plus) is that it more or less keeps the strip sealed in the devices drum (using foil) untill its needed… The Breeze 2 does this with the multiple test disks (same foil storing each strip in the disc) if your not testing too frequently and worry about them expiring due to humidity.
Isnt optium xceed basically the same as the precision Xtra for the DME/Mail Order Pharmacies?
