Great Video on Team Type 1 Riders + Call to Mountain Biking T1Ds

I found a few videos I wanted to share with those of us who are active with T1D -

http://rochester.ynn.com/content/health/healthy_living/581169/healthy-living---pro-cyclists-push-past-type-1-diabetes/
* Riders, Alex Bowden and Joe Eldridge, share their stories about riding with T1D.

http://quantifiedself.com/2012/04/james-stout-on-diabetes-exercise-and-qs/
* Rider, James Stout, discusses his experiences and tools to manage his T1D.

Also...if there are any T1D out there who enjoy mountain biking, please let me know. I'd like to start up a group in the northern San Diego county. Thanks.

The view from my mountain bike in Boulder, CO.

I MTB, but I'm in Wellington, New Zealand!

Great stories and nice video Brian! I love running to that song. I haven't gotten on my bike for a while w/ the running schedule. I like cycling though, as it's a lot easier to lug meters, snacks, etc. along than running.

One thing I sense they may miss the mark at is when the article notes "If you do like to go on a long bike ride or do a really important race, you have to monitor very carefully and that is probably one of the bigger challenges, is to stay active and focus on it," as pretty much anyone with diabetes has to monitor very carefully AND interpret the data, which is the bit that's often left out of these type of stories. Team T1 is a great organization and I'll always root for them and their ongoing achievements.
