HELP - Just out of ER Type 1 Dexcom6

I am home from the hospital. I had to remove my Dexcom G6. I am trying to attach again to the App. It is asking me for the serial number of the transmitter, which I have.

My problem is I do not have the serial number from the box I cannot move forward in the App setup without that number.

I also cannot get any support over the phone with Dexcom. I am put on hold and terminally waiting for a chat person.

Please help me - I have never written in a forum and just stumbled across yours.

It’s been a while, but the only SN I recall using in the app is the one printed on the transmitter (6 letters/numbers, only used for a new transmitter) and then the calibration code printed on the sensor applicator.

The lot numbers are useful if you have to call tech support. In the future take a picture of the box when you open a new sensor or transmitter so you’ll have the information you need later on. You can delete the picture(s) when you install the next one.

Look at the bottom of your transmitter. The number should be there. The following is from the Dexcom site:

• On the bottom of the transmitter - the transmitter SN number is the same as the SN number on the bottom of the transmitter

The serial number on the box is the same as the alphanumeric code on the transmitter.
