Help the Diabetes Hands Foundation with a 10-second video (before July 31)

The folks at Animas (the makers of the Animas insulin pumpt) have launched the 2010 Online Pump Triathlon Relay website.

On the PumpTri.com web site, they are seeking to bring the pumping community together online and in the process give a $10,000 donation to an inspirational and growing diabetes nonprofit that the participants choose themselves. The Diabetes Hands Foundation (the nonprofit behind TuDiabetes) is one of the nonprofits you can choose from!

All you need to do is upload a 10 second video clip of you moving across the screen in water, on wheels, or by foot. It can be anything from swimming in your bathtub, to rolling on a skateboard, to hop-scotching through a playground. You have until July 31 to do this.

Once you have posted your video, I hope you will choose Diabetes Hands Foundation so you can help us get that generous $10,000 donation!

Thanks for your support.

Umm… this is only for pumpers, right?

I asked the Animas people. They replied this:
"Primarily it’s for pumpers, but when you go to upload a video you’ll notice 3 choices:

  1. I’m an Animas pumper
  2. I’m a non-Animas pumper and
  3. I’m a member of the D community"

So technically you don’t necessarily need to be a pumper.

Thanks for asking, Tmana!

On Kerri’s blog, Chris a person from Animas responded. He said you DON’T have to be pumping…just involved in the D community.
