Our family loves to watch The Amazing Race together. This season we have been especially interested, as one of the racers in a two woman team, a doctor named Nat, has T1D. They touched on it in her introduction and showed her testing a few times during the race, but otherwise did not make a big deal of it. I loved that at the end of the Race she talked about not only wanting the experience of running the race, but also showing that no one needs to let T1D keep them from doing whatever they choose to.
Last night Nat and Kat finished the race in first place. Great accomplishment and great example to our children that they can do whatever they set their minds to.
