Household uses for a lancet?

I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s explored the versatility of those prickly little things. Obviously, lancets are great to have around in case of splinters. They’re also useful for opening cartons sealed with clear unreinforced tape, and – as this evening has caused me to painfully recall – for trying to drain the cr@p out of those insect bites that blow up and become inflamed…

Any more uses anyone here has come up with?

i use them as push pins on my corkboard

I’m thinking you could use 'em to remove splinters…
Keep Going…Peace, Bob

That’s their usual surprise public use… someone working at a splinter with a pocket knife, hand them a sterile lancet and a prep-packet instead… 'course, they look at you kinda funny until you explain how to use them…
