speaking about needles. I was more self consious doing the needles in public... I even got called into the office in high school cause some kid told them I was doing herion... go me! lol
I've used an al-natural product, De-solv-it, to remove pods and other adhesive residue: http://www.orange-sol.com/household/index.html
It works very well and is safe; we have used it on our baby since he was 4 months old to remove medical tape and residue from his skin (he has a feeding tube that is taped down and moved every couple of days). A little bit of this stuff goes a long way, too.
It's more an issue of the pod sticking to its tape. Like, the tape isn't coming lose from my skin at all, but the pod has pulled away from the tape a couple of times. I think a big part of it is my kids. They're nine and almost four and are always climbing all over me. For some reason the pod, no matter where it is, seems to them like great leverage.
Rubidoux,
I'm getting ready to do my Omnipod training this Wednesday. One of the things that I worry about is my kids using it as if it is a hand/foot hold like on a climbing wall!
Sometimes, yes I do. If I still had my motorcycle, I would cover up my barnacle with a bandana and go the badass route! Aw, man, that makes me sad. As it is, I cover up with a nude or black Band 4 Life armband. If I’m in a poolside/beach setting and it is on my abdomen, well, it’s just visible to all. C’est la vie.
I’m really looking forward to the new size!
I say embrace it. And bedazzle it. A few years ago I had to wear an eye patch for 3 months due to third nerve palsy (thank you again diabetes). Anyway, I knew people were going to be looking at me with an eye patch so....I got out the glue gun and made one with purple sequins, one w/butterflies, flames...etc...I had a complete wardrobe. My co-workers were anxious to see the new ones. So, as far as your pod goes. Wear it proud. Be dazzle that puppy!
