How often do you go low blood sugar

Hi guys wanted to ask everyone here how often would you guys have a low blood sugar in a week?.

Defining “low blood sugar” as something in the range 0-56mg/dL (0-3mmol/L) and using the numbers from a Decom G7 which reads at best +/-40mg/dL (+/-3) over the last two weeks, never.

Defining “low blood sugar” as when my body tells me I have low BG, once. The G7 said I was well over 80mg/dL (4.5) and the fingerstick gave me a 79mg/dL (4.5). But of course I fix things before I check them.

Defining low blood sugar as collapsing and extending the period to the entirety of my T1 life (53 years, but increasing by the year), once.

I would wonder what you are defining as low blood sugar numbers. I often enough fall to the 60’s but am usually there only a few minutes as one alarm alerts me at 90 and the other at 75. That way I know if I am trending going low and treat it if necessary. Because I am there very briefly on any of my graphs 14/30/90 days I am less than 1% low and less than 1% very low, if at all, on all my graphs.

So under 70, 3 times a week? But it’s a quick dip, 1-2 dots? because my timing is a little off. I am honestly not concerned about the 60’s range unless I am trending down. Under 60 once every 1-4 weeks maybe? but again a brief blip type thing.

The last 2 weeks of graphs shows it being 7 times, 4 of those hitting 69 for 1 dot. 3 of those were on one day, 2 hitting 1 dot at 69 and the third being a 15 minute time period and dropping down to 55ish for one dot. Obviously a problematic day of control as I had an extended high too. And yes the low was the after effect it looks like of trying to control the high that was lasting hours. An 88% TIR range day.

Me helping my dad clean his basement…

I started suspending insulin delivery entirely, I got so sick of lows. I still went low.

You get the idea. This is really bad data. I was basically running up and down the stairs with heavy boxes, scrubbing floors, and cutting down trees all week…trying to prep for the winter months.

3-4 times per week.

I used to go low quite frequently when I was taking Atlantis. Apparently Trish Sheba is better for preventing Lowe’s but I had 47 Lowe’s and 90 days on my Libre 3+ record. I never went below 53 but the alarm goes off 60 and under and then 55 is considered urgent. I usually drink 4 to 8 ounces grape juice which is 39 g carbs as my end told me they have a little slogan high alive low dead so I’ve had high a lot more now, but not in a good level, but I’m not having the Lowe’s that I had those are very uncomfortable and potentially life-threatening.

Those two words are Lantus and Tresiba. I’m doing voice text.

I am a type two, my doctor told me my Tresiba is what causes my overnight lows

She wants no lows, so I have reduced by 10 units. I’ve had one low in two months just sharing a i know type ones different Nancy 50.

With respect to long acting insulin (it doesn’t have to be Tresiba) we are all equal. Having too high a dose overnight will certainly cause lows.

This is the reason many people say, “Get the basal right.” That’s a T1 thing but it works for T2 as well. I’ve always understood why T1s needed a long acting insulin of some form (a pump performs an equivalent function) and it’s easy for a T1 to do but I don’t have the faintest idea how to get it right for someone with endogenous insulin production.
