My Guardian is currently in the mail!
When I tried wearing I-PORTs last year, I had really bad site reactions, hopefully to the adhesive. I tend to have swelling and redness if I leave even a latex-free bandaid on for half an hour. I am hoping to prevent that with the Guardian, and it was suggested to me that I put a hypoallergenic tape on underneath the sensor.
Minimed offered to sell me IV3000, but I don’t need 100 dressings- I’m paying for the Guardian out of pocket and will only use it every now and then- and would rather not pay for 100 dressings.
I notice that Walgreens has a hypoallergenic paper tape. Has anybody tried it? Would it be too flimsy to hold the sensor on?
