I love this - as data

still trying to prove to BCBS that 'medical necessity' applies to them paying for my CGMS sensors.

this was a day i was taking a break from the navigator due to running out of sensors and letting my skin heal from the tape.

so... fingersticks, just washed hands, a couple of hours after eating [gastroparesis]

yes, those times and numbers are accurate. really.

could there be any better proof that testing 10-15 times a day isn't going to help me catch those lows?

check your prescription drug plan. I have BCBS of Ill and they did not cover cgm but my drug coverage did (medco).

Matthew, thanks but i only got medco to cover them for 3 months before they dropped them from the formulary. Bcbs of ma covered the transmittor and receiver and after a 7 month battle approved the sensors jan2010. Then in april they retroactively denied the claim when it came time to send the check. Now i am fighting them over $1300 and the future of my sensors

ouch… just ouch
