So I got in, roamed around for 4 days, got very frustrated–even with excellent assists from @Marie and @Irrational John—and decided to just take a break for a few days. I did vent at poor Emily at the FB DHF page. Having calmed down, I decided to try again—only nothing worked–no combo of passwords and usernames we tried.
Emily wanted me to change browsers, but I’ve only ever used one and didn’t want to do that–too much is already confusing. So my husband cleared my browser history and settled in to tackle the problem—it took him almost an hour of his more computer-savvy time, but he finally got me back in. We logged out and in a few times. So far so good. We’ll hope it holds.
I’m sorry to say this–but that is Not a user-friendly process of coming back home—not if it takes someone with my husband’s skills to manage it. I’m glad to be here again. It is worth noting that my dear friend Kathy in Minneapolis has still Not gotten in at all–not even once. And Nel—our very own Olympic Torch Bearer for the Canadian Diabetes Association—also found this new site confusing. I’m not sure if she is back yet…
Judith - Not only are you back in but you’ve also posted your first discussion! Congrats. I just posted my first discussion just now, too. Not sure what your issues were but you are not the only one having some difficulty with this new environment. We’re all still feeling our way. I hope you continue to persist and stick around. - Terry4, formerly know as simply, Terry!
@Judith_in_Portland hello friend, hang in there, we are still not completely all together, but we are getting there. It’s going to get better and easier. I did see @Kathy last week. click on @kathy and you’ll see her picture and also you can send her a private message.
@Terry4 we’re going to be able to change your name - I suspect the one who is @terry has not been active in a long long time. and btw (by the way) I hope you’ll be around this afternoon for the event with @AfrezzaUser1 this afternoon
Hi Judith. I’m glad you’re here, but you know, I’m not here very much anymore. I miss some features on the old site–a special place for blogs, my favorite groups, and most of all the ability to talk to others on their Profile Pages. Now it all seems so darn impersonal, not friendly at all. Oh well.
Thanks, Marie. It would be nice to resume my appellation as Terry but it’s not a deal-breaker. Sorry I couldn’t attend the Afrezza event today. I was busy with fun vacation touring. I look forward to viewing the video when it posts.
Judith and Trudy, it you click on the 3 parallel lines (or hamburger) you will see a category called Share your Stories, you can blog your stories there. Same really as the old site only perhaps not so easily found.
Hi Pastel. Yes, I know we can blog on Share Your Stories, but our blogs are scattered among other discussions, etc. I feel that our member blogs have been somehow downgraded when we have a designation for blogs from others in the internet but not for us. I mentioned to @Brian_BSC that perhaps the blog designation could be divided between Member Blogs and Internet Blogs. Anyway, I expect some blogs will be showing up here next week when @Karen_Graffeo’s DBlog Week begins. And it’s really, really good to talk to you again! I hope all is well with you and little Renae. Cheers!
