Current OmniPod Wearer: Resources Right at Your Fingertips
We are pleased that we are now converting our existing OmniPod wearers to the new OmniPod. The following FAQs will help answer many of your questions.
How do I get the new OmniPod as quickly as possible?
We know current OmniPod wearers are eager to get a hold of the new OmniPod as soon as possible. The best thing you can do is to rely on your regular reorder cycle, which will help our Reorder and Product Support Teams be focused on helping everyone get through the transition period. Unfortunately, we are not able to support everyone all at the same time. Our Reorder and Product Support Teams are excited to service all OmniPod wearers throughout their transition; however, they will not be able to accelerate reorders.
We expect to have completed the conversion of all OmniPod wearers within a three to six month timeframe.
Is there anything I need to do in order to receive the new OmniPod?
While waiting to receive the new OmniPod, we strongly encourage you to review this website. In particular, you should explore the Resource Center and the items labeled “Converting Only.” These resources have been designed to help you throughout your transition to the new OmniPod and to learn as much about the System as possible before receiving it. You can also view a training video online, which will give you a full tour of what you will receive in your conversion kit, as well as important instructions on how to use the new System. You will also receive a DVD of the training video in your conversion kit, so you can follow along at home as you’re transitioning.
It’s important to remember that the new OmniPod is a completely new System, comprised of both a new PDM and a new Pod, and it may introduce changes to your routine. Following along with the educational materials will ensure the smoothest transition and set you up for the best possible experience with the OmniPod System overall.
As a courtesy to our existing OmniPod wearers, we are offering a one-time conversion to the new OmniPod System at no additional cost to you, provided you’re still within your 4-year limited PDM warranty at the time of conversion.
If your OmniPod warranty has expired there is no reason to worry. We will reach out to you to start the process of renewal. If you wish to renew your warranty now and avoid possible delays later, you may also contact our Reimbursement Team at 800-591-3455 (Option 2).
How do I know if I’m on track to receive the new System?
If you have been using the OmniPod System with no interruption to your regular reorder cycle, you are automatically on track to receive the new OmniPod System at the time you would expect your next reorder shipment. The best thing you can do is to stay on your regular reorder cycle.
We will be sending out e-mail notifications when your reorder is coming up and it’s your time to convert. These notifications also contain information on how to access additional online training materials before receiving your new OmniPod.
We expect to have completed the conversion of all OmniPod wearers within a three to six month timeframe.
