I lost an insulin pen and found it a couple of months later in a pocketbook. I started using it again. Its humalog. I dont think its wsorking. Can insulin go bad and lose its effectiveness???

Simple asnwer is YES! I don’t use pens, I use the bottles. They are good (according to the mfg) for 28 days. What does it say on your pen/rx/ etc. They come with instructions 
Yes. Toss a pen if it’s been at room temp for over 28 days.
