Like a lot of others have mentioned I just needed my endocrinologist to resubmit to my carrier. It was initially denied because it needed prior authorization but to me it just seemed like a formality or someone on the insurance side had a box to check rather than just rubber stamping there approval initially.
I have to tell you, Victoza was only approved by the FDA in January 2010. This topic was started only a year after approval. Most insurance plans take a year or two before they will add a new medication to their formulary. This discussion dates from that period in time. Victoza is broadly available on most formularies at this time. And I believe the Victoza Savings Card is still available.
