Keep pump and G7 quiet at night!

I know, I know…RTFM!

I just started my 2nd G7. I left all my alerts, reminders, and alarm settings on my Tslim pump, in the t:connect app, and the Dexcom app as they were with my G6. I know I had them all set to vibrate, not to make any noise at all, except the urgent ones I can’t make quiet. But last night, my wife swears (at me, too) that some device went off repeatedly around 2:00 am. With my hearing loss and tendency to sleep with my good ear on the pillow, of course I slept through it all. Now, after RTFMing nearly an hour, rechecking all the settings on the pump (yep, they’re all still on vibrate), I can tell there was one high alert around 1:30 am but it should have only vibrated.

Is there a setting I’ve missed somewhere that is still set to make noise at night, other than the urgent low, which I know didn’t happen last night?

I’ve gone through both user guides and I thought I’d seen some instructions about how to shut it all up at night but other than setting to vibrate I can’t find anything else.

Just out of curiosity, when you installed the G7 app did it import your alert settings from the G6 app?

Gotta admit, mysterious beeping at 2am makes me think you have a smoke alarm that needs a new battery.

Yes I did import alerts, etc, from the G6. That’s why I shared your thought that sounds at night didnt’ make sense.

Then I found one “brief sensor issue” alert on the Dexcom G7 app that was set to ON and sound. I played it for my wife and she said it sounded like what woke her up! So I set it to OFF!

I also verified that when she said she heard something did correspond pretty closely to a sudden rapid drop in BG detected by the Dexcom app. I attribute that to lying on my sensor.

I consider the issue resolved. But just for safety’s sake, I turned the whole phone off last night!

Thanks Tom! I haven’t made the jump to the G7 but it’s gonna happen someday so I’m trying to be prepared.
