Lasik eye surgery

hi everybody. lately i am looking into getting lasik. i have had glasses and correctional lenses since i was a little kid, before diagnosis. i definitely think it would make life a lot easier to wake up and see clearly without the effort! but, as a very careful diabetic i know the caution i must take with my eyes. has anybody had this surgery? or has anybody not had the surgery due to fear of possible complications?
