Wow! When I took Lantus twice a day (mainly by circumstance because I was in my financial struggling period without my Humalog) and I was either in the mid-100s to near the 300s and I can't see why they say that taking long acting insulin in 6-hour increments is stacking it and you'll wind up dipping below 70, which I never had that problem. Which goes to show that there's a difference between one who studies and is an "expert" on this condition and someone who is actually going through it.

Now, I'm not discounting all doctors who specializes in diabetes treatment, but there are just a handful of them who has a keen eye and ear and do take the patient's input or suggestions into consideration, but there are those who only go by what the pharm reps and pharm pamphlets and all, but totally, disregard the reality that every diabetic (regardless of type) ain't the same. We all have different reactions to the same type of medications and what have you....
