Hi, a buddy of mine (a young lady) broke her lancet device and she needs to replace it. Mom reports that she is very partial to and will only use the device pictured. Does anyone have a spare they could send to her ?
That can be purchased at-
For $5.29 USD. I think the shipping is free. They sell lancets for it at $5.79 USD per 100 ct.
I think I have 117 lancing devices everyone of them is different than the other. I don’t even know where they all came from, but I have a weird hoarding disability when it comes to diabetes stuff.
I still have a dexcom 3 day sensor that I never used from 20 years ago. Enough lancets to last until the next millennium.
I also have some sets and cartridges for old pumps in case I ever need it which I won’t but I still keep it.
There needs to be a new psychological disorder that is only linked to diabetes supplies because I don’t do that with other things.
That being said. “ please do not send or receive used equipment that has been in contact with another persons body. Especially one that is designed to draw blood”
I get that she is particular, but maybe buy her 3 different ones to try she might like one of those better.
“I think I have 117 lancing devices”…thanks for my laugh of the day, Tim! I know what you mean about hoarding D supplies. I do that, too, and I don’t hoard ANYTHING else, lol.
eBay has them used for less money as well
Looks like a freestyle lancet device
It’s funny how specific our tastes can be. I think I had one or more of those at some point and didn’t like it all. Pretty sure it came with at least one of my Freestyle Lite meters.
As much as I detest the One Touch Verio random number generators my DME company keeps sending me, I do love the Delica lancing devices that come with them. I prefer devices with a hair trigger that fires off without too much effort on my part I always find any poking device that’s difficult to trigger screws with my mind, and builds up way more nervous anticipation then a little jab ever should. I pretty much hijack the lancing device from the Verio kit and lose the rest of it.
Thanks all, I believe she has arranged 3-4. Luis, you won the low price award. Thank you all.
I am not that picky, but I use such a device with my (old) OneTouch Ultra meter to calbrate my Dexcom 6 CGI. While I will use any such lancet device, I carry my meter in a case made by OneTouch, and it only has room for a device that is 3.5" long. The Stat Lite Lancing Device posted by Luis3, is 3.5" long, So knowing about the Stat Lite device is useful. Thanks.
