Wanted to share a success story as it relates to lowering your blood pressure. Since Oct I have been roughly 130/85 (age 26) for whatever reasons. From Oct-Dec I tried more exercise, less salt and relaxation. I bought a home kit tested 3 times a day morning/night/after exercise and I was still between 140/80 on most of my readings.
As a young person, I use the internet for about everything. Doing searches there has been some good studies regarding cq10 and lowering blood pressur a few points. Also found a couple studies on the affects of garlic oil and diabetic heart problems. So what the hell, I started taking 1 garlic oil, 1 vit d, and 1 200mg cq10 morning and night. I also starting taking fish oil before bed.
Since Feb, my AVERAGE blood pressure has been 112/70 along with a good resting heart beat of 55. I exercise a few times a week as normal, eat the same things, and probably even have more stress at work (just got promoted)
Trying to keep all variables the same through this trial, I want to contribute the drop to cq10 and garlic oil. Just thought I would share in case others had similar cases or others can help explain the good drop. Maybe its random but it seems to be working.
wowtahts great that u worked on those things yourself i bet exercise helps your body alot, I take fish oil capsules for at\rthritis pain but havent noticed the change yet I take other vitamins but sometimes they raise my blood sugar althoug i guess tahts alot differnt to blood pressure but if u have any other advice on relaxation spit it out as they say.
Thank you for sharing that info. I’ve always believed that some medical conditions can be helped by certain vitamins. I’m interested in this b/c my father was dx’d with high bp at 19 years of age, and was put on a med at age 25. He was never overweight and was very athletic, before it was even fashionable. So I am always watching my bp, wondering whether I inherited that gene! Probably not, as I am well past 25, but am now at the age where bp increases are very common.
Do you take all of the vitamins before bed, or just the fish oil? I have heard conflicting things about taking vitamins in the morning vs. the evening.
Thanks for sharing. I was just diagnosed with T1. The doc was concerned that my BP was a little high, but I was just flummoxed because I am a distance runner of normal body weight. Don’t really fit the profile for someone with high blood pressure. It was 140/90 when I was at the doctor’s office. I checked it a week later at the grocery store and it was 117/87. I am guessing white coat syndrome, but I need to check some more just to make sure that it’s not high.
Do people with diabetes (particularly T1) have an increased risk of high blood pressure? The doc was really concerned about this. I don’t want to be on BP meds because it just seems like overkill for someone of my age and general overall state of health (diabetes aside, I’m very healthy)
I take 1 garlic oil, 1 1,000mg d and 1 200mg Cq10 in the morning and when I get home from work around 5pm. I only take 2 fish oil tablets before bed time.
