Lyumjev, you are an epic disappointment

I love Lyumjev but hate the Lilly Kwikpens! They get air bubbles and you have to prime them just to get accurate dosing with small amounts of insulin like less than 6 units and end up wasting 10% of the insulin in a pen and the extra work to do it. I use Tresiba in a Flexpen and get absolutely no air bubbles and no priming needed. I would get Fiasp but my insurance won’t cover it for some reason?

I’m sorry to read that your experience hasn’t been great.

I used both Fiasp and Lyumjev. I stopped using Fiasp because it caused occlusions in my Tandem X2 pump. I then switched to Lyumjev.

My system has taken well to it. Fiasp helped me get my a1c down to the high 5s, and I’m maintaining that using Lyumjev. I find it acts very fast in my system. I have my high alert at 160 mg/dl, and when I correct, things turn around quickly. I know it would take longer if I were using Humalog.
