Lyumjev In insulin program

I started using an insulin pump in 2008. At the time I had great medical insurance and used Novolog for my pump. Novolog was fast acting and in my opinion much better than Humalog. When I went on Medicare drug plan, my Omnipods ate through my pharmacy benefit and that Novolog was now $700 for 3 month supply. I was forced to go on Humalog bc it was cheap and my A1c suffered 2 points. Humalog just doesn’t work fast enough for me. I shared this with my Endo and he told me about Lyumjev. It’s been a game changer. It is totally equal to Novolog. Lilly apparently created an ultra fast absorbing insulin and that’s Lyumjev. Thankfully, it was in the cheap insulin program and I got a 3 month supply for $35. If you need an ultra fast absorbing insulin, talk to your Endo about Lyumjev.
I haven’t had any super highs since starting this insulin.

Thanks for reporting your experience with Lilly’s Lyumjev, also known as insulin lispro-aabc. Lilly also makes Humalog, insulin lispro.

Good to know that you’re getting favorable results with your Omnipod pump delivery. The FDA just approved pump use of Lyumjev on August 17, 2021. Great to read that this formulation not only works well for you but is also affordable.
