Metformin & dry mouth/sinus headaches

Hi,

New to this forum. Type 2 for 15 years. Currently on 500 Met and insulin pump plus others. For the last year of so, I have been dealing with very dry sinus and resulting headaches, especially at night. I do have allergies and have been using one of the steroid nasel sprays.

In order to figure this out, I stopped my nasel sprays, and while I have a bit of sneezing, it is tolerable this time of year.

After experimenting a bit, it seems that a couple of hours after taking the Metformin, I get a headache and my eyes and sinus dry out severely. This wakes me at night and is uncomfortable other times of the day.

Has anyone else had this problem, seemingly caused by Metformin??

Thanks,

Andrew
