Metformin & Glimepiride

First, sorry for my English. It migth not be so good. I´m Spanish speaker.

I have been taking Metformin for a long time. Last month, I was prescribed Glimepiride 2mg (one every day) along with Metformin. I control my blood sugar level every day. After the new medication, my blood sugar level is lower. But I am experimenting some issues with my eyes. I feel like I have dry eyes syndrome, like I have sand in the eyes.

Can these symptoms be a side effect of the Glimepiride?

Welcome to TuD. I did a search on Glimepiride and came up with this ‘puffiness or swelling of the eyelids or around the eyes, face, lips, or tongue’. It doesn’t sound quite like you described, but to be on the safe side I’d go and ask your doctor about your eyes.
