Mio Energy water flavor drops

I have been using Mio Energy water flavor drops. I am starting to suspect that they are raising my bc, despite being calorie free.

I have used those drops. I only put a drop or two in resulting in a mildly flavored water. I've never found them to raise my blood sugar. However I am careful, I believe that artificial sweeteners can cause us to become somewhat addicted to sweet flavors, so I limit their use.

I only make my own flavors now with lemon/lime etc. and sometimes sweet leaf stevia extract which comes in different flavors. Every time I thought something was raising my bg it turned out it had carbs/sugar in it or things like splenda will raise me. Stevia doesn't. I was drinking creme nut brulee tea from teavana and it spiked me every time. I finally asked them and they said yes it has some carbs but they don't list nutritional info on the package. The first time I asked they said no carb content. But I guess I should have realized because the ingredients included pinapple chips etc.

why don't they sweeten more things like flavored yogurts with STEVIA? & cereals & food in general
instead of artificial sweeteners which are not good in any way?

I don't know Shoshana, great point! I have been asking myself the same thing and I"m thinking about making sodas and some other products with stevia only and no sugar alcohols added to sell. There are some chocolates on Amazon.com sweetened with stevia, I will try one soon prolly.
