So I met my new dr. the other day.. it went..ok He's convinced I'm a T2 just because I had gestational diabetes...but i'm still not convinced..the good news..he listened to me and said he would get me a referral to see an endo. so maybe i'll get to the bottom of this..bad thing about the endo is it's an hour away..so not sure how many times i'll have to see the endo...evey couple months? Not sure.. Anyway, for the moment I like the dr. :)
You should see your endo every 3 months.
Yep, 3 months. That's how often I see mine. He's just a mile away though, but I'd think a hour drive would be worth it. My Endo has some patients that live 100 miles away and see him every 3 months too.
Something to keep in mind, Type 1 or Type 2, the care of these two really are not that different. Use of insulin tends to be the biggest difference, but even that is less so more and more with better research showing the benefits.
I don't know why I'm so hung up on what type I am...I guess I'm just one of those people that need to know exactly whats wrong with me...*sigh*
