target range ,waking up, before meals, bedtime.
and i need blood glucose guide for fasting and non-fasting.
My DR will not tell this. this is way i am asking you.
Kathleen Gregory.
WOW! That sure is a loaded question.
The only correct answer is: It depends.
I'll offer one suggestion though. Fire your doctor!
While you work through this, remember the gluco-normal's stay in the range of about 70-120 all the time.
I know this is of no help at all, but don't let it get too high (Bad), or too low (Very Bad).
Kathy, I suggest you find a new endocrinologist who speaciales in whichever type of diabetes you have. Diabetes is NOT a one size fit all diseases. What works for one, will NOT necessary work for another. That is why you often hear the phase your diabetes may vary. Even target ranges will vary from one diabteic to another, as well as Insulin Senativity Factor (ISF). My carb ratio even varies according to the time of day.
Good Luck!
Thank You All.
I like 85 mg/dl. I think it's perfect. Seriously.
I target 65-140 mg/dl and seek to stay in that range 80% of the time.
I like 70-99 mg/dl to wake up.
I like anything below 120 mg/dl to eat.
I prefer to keep my post-meal glucose 140 mg/dl or below but I am a diabetic; it will go higher at times.
You didn't ask but I like to limit my time below 65 mg/dl to 5% or less.
These numbers work for me. They are "stretch goals" so I'm not there all the time.
Good luck!
Oh, yeah! Bedtime: I like blood glucose moving sideway between 80-110 mg/dl with no active insulin yet to work. (also known as insulin on board or IOB). Do you even take insulin?
