Need some help...moving to new state/city and need some DR references...Ohio..sandusky area

ok so for the summer i may be moving to sandusky ohio for a job at cedar point.
well it’ll be from april until end of november. and so at some point there i will obviously need insulin, doctor check-ups, and an endocrinologist visit.
if someone is from that area could you please give me some info on what is around that area…i’ve never been outta Michigan and so i really don’t know what i am getting into…but well i’m 19 years old and well…i need to step out on my own and stop relying on my mom and dad to help me with everything…i mean i do take care of my own diabetes apts and i take care of my insurance which thankfully i will have no matter where i live until i am 21 (which is in 2 years and that terrifys me)
so please help me someone if you can

Amber, I live about 25 miles from Sandusky. Sandusky has one endo (had to look it up), most people I know go to either Toledo or Cleveland. As a new patient, getting an appointment when you want may be a problem when you’ll be in the area for a relatively short time.

If it were me, I’d explain the situation to my present endo and make sure I had a enough supplies and extra scripts just in case. Will you be able to return home for a visit? I’d try to see my regular endo during that time if needed.

There is a pumper group in Norwalk that meets at Fisher-Titus Medical Center, just south of Sandusky, . The coordinator there, Brandi, may be of some help and be able to offer advice whether you use a pump or not.

Here’s the endo, I know nothing about him. If you’re going to call, I’d do it as far in advance as possible:
