New Accu Chek Aviva EXPERT Meter with bolus calculator

Has anyone received yet the new Aviva Expert meter that has a bolus calculator similar to those used in pumps?

The FDA has approved it and it is being advertised for physicians to sign up to be able to receive the kits and prescribe the kits to their motivated MDI patients that can carb count.

Check out ACCU-CHECK.COM/EXPERT

Get the first and only blood glucose meter with a built-in insulin calculator. First and only meter not part of an insulin pump system to feature an insulin calculator.

When I had to get off of the various pumps I have been on and go back to MDI - I panicked (sp?)because I would have to keep track of insulin on board, the +% and -% when on my period or sick, or doing exercise.

This keeps track of all of that, and has a cook color screen.

I have asked my endocrinologist to get signed up - I am ready to get one.

It uses the same Accu-Chek Aviva plus test strips as the regular Aviva does.

Has anyone gotten one yet?

here's a few people who have tried it

I have had an Aviva combo (pump and meter) since 1/1/14. So I don't know what you are referring to when you say "first and only"? I can bolus from the meter via bluetooth and the meter has a bolus calculator, including tracking IOB. The only things I cannot do with the meter is prime tubing and fill cartridge.
