What do you know about this?

Looks realy cool, but isn’t available yet. It did say it is FDA approved. They didn’t give very many specifics, but it will be interesting to watch.
I think it looks awesome! Other than the size…still too big. But still looks slimmer than the omnipod.
Does anyone know what is in the demokit?
Dave-- this is a great idea. Would be nice to have much smaller reservoirs/ cartridges. The pumps are not precise enough to work accurately with the U500 insulin?
Another thread discussing the solo:

Thanks! I was looking only at the forum and not found.
You bet
I just posted this to the thread I mention above, but in case you aren’t following that:
An interview with Medingo from T1DPodcast has the Medingo rep clearly saying that the brains part is the only part that lasts 90 days. The cradle (cannula) and reservoir are changed every three days. Nothing is attached to you directly for 90 days.
She also stated it’s 25% smaller than a Pod.
The battery is in the reservoir which is changed every three days.
Unable to answer the waterproof question. Still being tested. “Objective to be like every other pump on the market.” Shower proof but may not be able to swim with it.
Does not have a meter currently. In development.
Software in development.
A separate usability had to be completed for children - that is complete. One more usability needs to be completed for children in the next month. Expect to be applying for pediatric clearance in October.
The interview is on iTunes by Scott Herring at T1DPodcast. Episode 8
Is there any more updated information about the Solo MicroPump?
I requested about 7-8 months ago. It is a little smaller than the Omnipod but it is not waterproof. You need to remove the device and reattach.
I also got their sample and liked the fact it was a little flatter than the OmniPod, which I have had for over two years. Unfortunately both only hold 200 units. When I first started on the MiniMed, while I liked it, I did not like all the steps to go through to change the tubing. The OmniPod is so simple, but again the height of the pod is what I do not like. I will prlbably switch to the Solo only for that reason. When I got my sample, they said they would inform me when the product was available, so am just waiting to hear.
Omnipod is also awaiting FDA approval for a 42% smaller pod!!! I can’t wait
Am I the only MM user on the planet that only gets 1.8mL reservoirs? I feel cheated!
