New York Historical Society- Insulin exhibit

Here is a great article and also has a great photo of some old (1923) insulin at exhibit.

Check out the story and link and if you are in New York, check out the exhibit in person.

The bottle looks like it is dated 1923 and it doesn’t even look like a box it looks more like a piece of hollowed out wood or cork if you look closely.

Article, Photo and link from The New York Times website.

…Also on page 2 (of article in link posted above) are two more pictures. An old newspaper clipping, and a picture of the laboratory that insulin was discovered. The pics weren’t loading earlier when the article came out but are fine now if you click on “enlarge”. Don’t miss these pics. They are really great.

I know I posted this on someone’s blog, but I am looking forward seeing this exhibit. (ok…that sounds a little strange)

ok I got the link to work now so I’m editing my former response. Cool looking!

Are you actually going to the exhibit? Any chance you could take some pictures or give us an update? I wish I could go.
