Good Morning Everyone! I am new to tudiabetes. I am currently experiencing lack of energy. Some days I can not get out of bed. I am 35 years old. My blood sugar is under pretty good control…of course sometimes I have highs but I do try to keep it level. I have lots of complications because when I was diagnosed at 16…I did not take care of myself…at all. I am legally blind, I have severe neuropathy in my feet and lower legs, my kidneys are failing and I have severe gastroparesis…and I just found out I have hypothyroidism. Is anyone else out there as much of a mess as me? I am in good spirits…I have an amazing husband who is soooo supportive. It is just sometimes I feel like life is passing me by because I don’t feel the greatest. Patticake
So sorry you’re having so many problems. Glad your hubby helps so much.
Have you called your endo? Your hypothyroid levels may need to be checked again. Mine recently did and my doc had to increase my Synthroid. Before the increase, I litterally could not keep my eyes open during the day. Now, I’m okay.
Perhaps check with your diabetes educator in your area for any Type 1 support groups. Talking always helps take the edge off and talking with some who knows what you are going through can help even more. Exercise can also help take the edge off. I also agree with Sarah, talk with your endo for a complete check.
Thank you Pauly and Sarah…very helpful info. I just started on the Synthroid and they are still adjusting. It is very reassuring that you felt the same way…tired and couldn’t keep your eyes open…and now you feel better. Thanks!
