Are Americans using different “numbers” than Canadians? For example, when I test, I get a number between, let say, 5 and 9… I’m noticing numbers such as 80 and up. What’s the difference?
Thanks!
Difference between blood glucose measurements
I hope this helps !
In the US mg/dl is the unit for Blood Glucose, in the UK (and presumably Canada) mmol/l is used. It’s just a different unit for the same thing.
Here’s a link to a convertor http://www.childrenwithdiabetes.com/converter.htm
I was going to answeryour question but you have the answer already. There are a lot of people in the US who uses mmol on their meters. If you would like to see the difference click here, for a link to for a conversion meter.
