Omnipod pump

I am wearing a omnipod filled with saline right now and so far, so good. I have been using MDI for almost 25 years and so I’m not convinced that I want to switch to a pump, but I’d love to hear what others think about this particular one…I like that it is small and there is no tubing, that is a major plus!

Hi Amy.
I like it for exactly the same reasons. I am waiting for mine to be approved and get here. I haven’t been diabetic for as long as you but now that i have agreed to get a pump I want it to hurry. I know there is no such thing in the diabetic language. You didn’t know we had one? Neither did I but there are things we understand and speak that no one else does. So, for me we have our own language. I hope you get yours soon and i hope it works out for you. Just about everyone who uses an OmniPod really likes them. Those who use other pumps really like theirs.

Hey! I have been on the Omnipod for 4.5 mths now =) I love it. Its so easy to use and small and NO TUBES…which is my fave part! I can’t believe I waited 11 years to get a pump, but it was worth the wait. The Omnipod has helped my A1C go from a 10 to 6.5 in the first 2 months I had it. Its a great little device. Definately check out the omnipod users group…it has helped me alot! Happy Pumping =)

Amy-

I have been using the Omnipod for a little over 6 months. I personally love it. I have had a few failures but the good out weighs the bad. I would recommend the Pod to anyone. I agree with SugarB you might want to join the OP group there is a lot of information there. Good luck on deciding.
