Opportunity to Obtain Free T2 Medications

Thanks to Riva Greenberg for passing on to me an opportunity for us to get free T2 diabetes medications for a year. BlinkHealth has committed $10 million to provide free type 2 medications, no strings attached. You can read about the program at https://www.blinkhealth.com/help/treat-type-two. The BlinkHealth business model appears to be to disrupt the “middlemen” in the pharma networks who basically suck out money and have led to escalating drug prices. BlinkHealth negotiates bulk pricing directly from suppliers and then arranges prepayment leading to much greater efficiency. The claim is that BlinkHealth is accepted at 57,000 pharmacies including CVS, Walmart, Rite Aid, Target, Kroger, Safeway and many more.

In either case, this is an opportunity for all our members to obtain some free medications for the coming year. The following medications are free:

Metformin HCL 500 mg tablet
Metformin HCL 850 mg tablet
Metformin HCL 1000 mg tablet
Glipizide 5 mg tablet
Glipizide 10 mg tablet
Pioglitazone HCL 15 mg tablet
Pioglitazone HCL 30 mg tablet
Pioglitazone HCL 45 mg tablet
