And if you are in Canada, you contact www.insulinpumps.ca and Melany will send you Orbit Micro samples to most Pharmacies in Canada. They like dealing with Safeway as there is a Certified Diabetes Educator at Safeway. I actually got 4 Orbit micros, 2 Orbit 90s and they are now sending me some Accucheck Rapid Ds and some Cleos for free. I tried the Orbit micros on my belly even though the set is for my 4 yr old son. It is a 31 gauge which is the same as his syringes that we are currently using. It didn’t even hurt, It was just like plucking a hair. The profile on the Orbit Micros is high, this is why I am trying the Accu Check Rapid Ds. Apparently they have the lowest profile out of the steel cannulas with the 90 degree manual insertion.
Sorry - you are right in that I use the micros, not the 90s. However, I don’t think it’s teflon, but could be wrong :-). Thanks for catching my mistake!
Also, I had the sizes wrong. The micro comes in 5.5mm & 8mm - not 8.5mm.
