Good morning. First time text. I’m from Toronto Canada. My OZempic injector is not working. It’s not injecting the dosage. It seems to get stuck & I’m not able to program it to 1.0. This is the 2nd time it’s happened. I’ve wasted 3 dosages in the past due to this failure. Is there a replacement injector I can get? I still have many dosages left. Or do I just ask doctor to prescribe me OZempic again…? Please help
Welcome to the community @Rich2. I would call the Novi Nordisk customer support line 1-800-727-6500. Perhaps they can help you trouble shoot the pen, if not, hopefully they can provide a replacement.
Thank you Gary! Very much appreciated for your assistance. Enjoy your week!

I know this is over 1 year old but I found out by observation the injection site can prevent the dose from being injected. If a site is used too much it scars the area enough so that when you try to inject it wont go in. I’ve seen this on myself enough now that I’ve added the back of my arms as injection sites to minimize the issue. Also found by doing that the insulin I’m taking in conjunction with the OZEMPIC is better used.
Hello,
Thank you for your reply.
I was told by my doctor that I should inject ozempic in my belly area only.
I did not know that I could inject it elsewhere on my body? i
Is that correct?
Please advise ASAP.
Thank you for your assistance/time.
Regards,
Richard
From web site:
- Using the pen, Ozempic® is injected under the skin of your abdomen, thigh, or upper arm. Do not inject into a muscle or vein.
- Change (rotate) your injection site with each injection. Do not use the same site for each injection. If you choose to inject in the same area, always use a different spot in that area.
Draw an imaginary circle around abdomen and move injection around. I imagine a clock to move my site. Nancy50
Thank you for your email Nancy50!
Much appreciated!

I see you beat me to the answer… which of course I did not see till I posted the same info!
Great we are on the same page, lol. Nancy50
Thank you all. One last thing please.
I noticed that sometimes after i inject the Ozempic in my belly- a slight/small abrasion/mark forms from the
injection. It does not happen all the time, but on occasion.
Is this normal for everyone else too? My wife is more curious/questioning than I am tbh.
Regards,
Richard
Are you new to injecting? Could be a technique issue. I occasionally get a scratch. I have a nasty black and blue right now. My doctor calls it a diabetic belly. Review with your CDE. Nancy50

Thank you Again Nancy. No, I am not new to injecting. It’s been two years now.I’ll review with my Doctor. I
doubt it’s anything serious tho…
