Pdm readings

Hey all! I just started the pod about a month ago. After reading several posts about the PDM giving lower readings than other testers, I checked mine against two other freestyle kits (using the lite strips.) happy to report that there was a negligible difference (4 pts) each time and the PDM was not the lowest. I tested it again at the Endo yesterday and the PDM was 8 pts higher than my lab reading. (Also my A1c is on its way down. Woohoo!) Here’s hoping that the new PDMs are more accurate than the old system.

Have a great weekend and happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there!!

Having any BG meter as close as 8 points to a doctor's office test is amazing. BG meters from everywhere have been on the defense against reports of their inaccuracies.

My tests with the (old) Omnipod PDM against both another Freestyle and two other brands of meters often showed it lower. Up to 40 points lower. I've got it usually about 10 points lower now with a setting one number off the number on the vials.

I share same experience, no problem with lower readings. Thanks for sharing

Hey Niclan - this has been my experience as well and I've had 3 pdms so far (at least...I may be on the 4th?). Congrats on the lower A1C!
