never had this happen to me while on the pumpso far. yesterday i had a tuff time keeping my Bs above 65 with no bolus all day and eating evrything in site all day to keep it from droping. was a constant battle. i wouild guess i had about 450 carbs in about 8 hours boy was i full. I was able to make it thur the nite till about 6 am when the low 35 BS woke me up. so after taking care of that this morning all day today i could not keep my bs down for some reason so far i have bolused about 70 units with one 60 carb meal and nothing but roast ( 0 carbs)for supper. bs hit 438 once today about 4:30 pm and has stayed over 300 untill just a few minuets ago and i am 352 after a 4.8 bolus 30 minuets ago when it was 312 now its climbing after bolus...just took another 2.10 units boy this makes no since at all......I talked with my educator and she was as confused as me she did tell me that my CGM is on the way and maybe that will help in the future to see what is going on..... any ideals on this or has it happened to anyone else?
Thanks Chuck
P.S.
pump is working and infusinon line looks good an so does the site
This has happened to me before due to female hormone fluctuations. I would be interested to know if anyone else has experienced this due to other reasons. I've had days where I ate so much my stomach was so tight and yet it still wouldn't come up. Then days where I correct and correct with no result until I'm afraid it's all going to backfire on me. Almost like an all day dawn phenomenon. The wrath of the Diabetes gods.
