Recall Freesryle teststrips Omnipod PDM

Hi - just received an e-mail from Abbott re Freestyle teststrips for Omnipod PDM recall. Reason: inaccurate measurements may occur (too low). People are advised to immediately stop using the Freeestyle teststrips. How and when strips will be replaced is not clear to me. Nor what to do in the meantime. As Abbott's customer service is permanently engaged I currently can't give more information.

This is no hoax. Iam not sure whether is a local (Netherlands only) ,regional or perhaps even global issue.

barend, Thanks for giving us what info you have.
It seems to be global.
There's actually been a LOT of discussion on the main "wall" of the omnipod group about this. You might have your email settings adjusted so that you are not receiving notifications from that?
In any case, you can read back through several pages of posts about folks who have received similar notifications and about the main press releases that has been made public by both Abbott and by Insulet. Hopefully that will help fill in some gaps for you. And it might be operating slightly differently overseas compared to the U.S., so the info might only be moderately helpful...not sure :-/
