Hi guys,
Has anyone been capable of changing the batteries in the new G6 transmitters? I know in the old ones it was possible, but now apparently Dexcom changed the design to limit this?
Thanks

Sorry, but no. Its only possible on transmitters starting with 89 and some 81s. I think the Xdrip programmer/hackers never figured out a way around Dexcom’s interference.
I’ve got two I already dissected, before I knew there was a reset problem, just hoping for some day when I’m able to use them again…
The batteries can physically be replaced, but the Transmitter day count cannot be updated (reset). So phone app/receiver that tries to get bg from transmitter gets message that transmitter not valid/active.
Older transmitters (80, 81) can be read by xDrip, and ignore T-day count, so they can still work using xDrip (android phone) in “non-native” mode.
