Saw the G6 inserted today for the first time

Marie, I’m sorry but I don’t know if the tech issue has been isolated at this point. My communication re this issue has been with a Sr Territory Business Mgr qt Dexcom and have requested an update because I’m at order point for supplies but will not re-order until I’m sure they’ve fixed the problem. I stopped using my G6 about three weeks ago and will not start again until I’m assured that my money isn’t being wasted.

Thanks @Gerhart_Friedel!!

If it helps I have not had any issues with performance of my G6. Except when iphone did an update and Clarity wasn’t working for a few days until Dexcom fixed the issue.
Knock on wood!

I just got my G6. First sensor and I am so happy with it. I agree, I was shocked when I saw the bulky applicator but it didn’t hurt. I’m shocked how accurate it is and how nice it is to see a constant reading on my phone. I might try a pump next. Just so resistant to giving in to this whole diabetes thing but this made my control so much easier!!!

I find it easy to use but soon after I got on the G6 I took a plane trip for a week’s vacation and found it hard to cram everything in a backpack to take on board. I worry about taking a month-long trip to China and packing enough to last with spares. I also am not as likely to take one with me in my purse as it takes up so much room.

I like the G6 inserter for the lack of pain (it was often hard to force myself to stick the G5 inserter in as it hurt all the way in). It’s bigger for sure, but I read somewhere that the company said the total materials used are similar to the materials in the G5. I guess there’s a lot of air inside. One-handed operation means more sites are opened up for me, although I haven’t done much exploring yet. It’s bulkier to store and pack for sure, but I can usually squeeze one or two things that size in my luggage. The packaging makes me think that it won’t be damaged even if forced in among other items.

Did u pinch up when using the G5? I never feel much, if anything.

I did, and sometimes it was pain free, but sometimes it hurt and hurt more every millimeter I pushed it in farther. I’m not sorry to give that up.
