I was just wondering if the Ping is THAT much bigger than the previous models, such as the 2020, or if people are just exaggerating a bit. On other sites, and some blogs, I’ve read that the Ping is huge compared to the 2020. Is it true? Is it really that big? If you’ve used a previous model, has the size difference bothered you?
Sorry for all of the questions, but it’s been bothering me for a while…I’ve seen a 2020 in person, but never the Ping…it doesn’t look too much bigger, but I have just been wondering.
I use the ping, and my trainer’s assistant used the 2020, and I don’t remember much of a difference; it was hardly noticable to me. I had read online about the size difference, but once I saw them compared to eachother it didn’t seem to be anything worth complaining about. Then again I’ve never used a pump before, but since the difference in size was what facilitates the wireless functionality, if I had noticed a substantial difference, I suppose I would have been more happy with it than anything else. yes they are the same, but the size of the ping is slightly bigger and the food database has been removed from the pump, and is only in the meter, to make sure we test before eating no doubt!
It’s less than a 1/4 inch longer than the 2020. I initially freaked out when I got the ping because I thought “it’s an upgrade, it should be smaller”. I got used to it within a day… It really wasn’t that big of a difference in the length so I don’t know why anyone would say it is huge.

I am in the process of getting the ping because of the whole Cozmo/Smiths situation and the problems they have been giving us (not honoring our 500$ credit that we have there since they went out, so now we are down 500$ and they wont give it back or give us spplies to match). I have seen and done a trial on the 2020 and loved it, so I was just wondering this question for a while. So thank you all very much.
Lol. Thats why I was wondering that…it doesn’t look huge so I wasn’t sure. Someone I think on cwd, and a blog I read complained of the size…maybe they were just really used to the old size.
