I have just got back from skiing for a week. It is the first time with the OmniPod. It’s fantastic. I had a bit of trail and error on the first day. Once I had sorted out the temp basal it was a breeze. I ran at minus 45 % for 7 hours of skiing. The only thing I had to remember was to reduce what the PDM wanted to give me at lunchtime. It needed to be cut in half as well. I had one minor issue over 6 days. That was also dealing with large temperature changes. I adjusted when I was over 9mmol/L which I think gives me sufficient margin of error if caught out in difficult conditions.
So I just wanted to report back that the OmniPod was amazing and I had no issues what so ever with failures at all. Yet when day to day in London I have had a few go off.
