Staying with medtronic

That is great it is accurate for you, I wish it was for me. Even one really wrong dex number can become a life threatening situation unfortunately if it controls your pump or if you bolus off it etc.

That is great news! I am a tad jealous. Tandem told me they will get back to me when my warranty ends. Never offered me the fee to change. Do you get to keep the Medtronic pump or do you have to send it in? I ask because I don’t like it when the companies demand the old pump (I want to have a backup rather than go to MDI, if the pump were to break).

We called them and I stated my interest in the tslim. The lady on the phone said she would ask her supervisor if I could get it through the switch upgrade. It was approved and voila! I just received it yesterday. The ADP is what pays for an insulin pump every 5 years. In 2022 is the next time I could get a new pump, but through the switch upgrade. In 2022 the adp will want my 630g. They send me a bubble wrap envelope and I toss it in a mailbox. If I were you I would give Tandem a call. If they want your business they’ll offer the switch to you.

I have had Control IQ since January and run it in sleep mode 24/7. It is a game changer. I use the Sugarmate app and my predicted average for 90 days is 98% in range (70-180) 94% (70-150) and a1c 5.5.

One thing I have learned, if a Dexcom G6 sensor isn’t working as expected I do not mess around. I call Tandem and tell them I need accurate readings so Control IQ works as intended.
