Steel Magnolia 2012 version

I was watching E! Entertainment Tonight last night They announced that a new Steel Magnolias movie will be released this year.

We've all seen this movie, about the group of woman in a southern town with lots of diverse personalities. And the daughter (played by Julia Roberts) dies from Diabetes.

So here is my question..... Do you think the (Julia Roberts) character will be wearing a CGMS or pump and does not die in the new movie?

I doubt they will change the plot significantly, it's a huge part of the "steelness" that the author of the play was trying to play up that the main character (his sister) dies? A quick Wikipedia peek suggests that it's being done w/ an African-American cast? Halle Berry *cough cough*!
