I too will go back to MDI, when I run out of the larger ones. I won't send the little ones back. It took 2 weeks to get this order. Monday morning I am calling 'headquarters'.
Got my smaller PODS on Friday...kinda like having a brand new car with no engine or gas
So you got the new PDM from ADW and have been using it? Did they take long to get paperwork from your dr? I’m tempted to do this.
Is anyone on this blog going to the shareholder meeting today? I am a lowly proxy voter, but if you are going, please consider probing for eros pod release to existing customers--timeline, etc. Thanks!
It was ordered May 6 shipped two days later. The new PDM came Monday since I did standard shipping. Set it up yesterday. Set up isn't much different. Just a lot more confirming prior screens. Going to activate first new pod tonight when old one expires. We have had pdms run over by a car when dropped, malfunction before a holiday (leaving 3 days of scrambling to remember how to do shots) and other exciting moments which helps me justify having an extra eventually for the next PDM's creative death.
Did you folks push to get the new pods, or did they just arrive?
I asked my supplier if the new pods were available yet and they said 'yes'. At the time...several weeks ago...I thought that the PDM might actually come with the first shipment of new pods (as said in Insulet's information). My supplier told me that if it didn't come with....to call Insulet and have them send me one. My supplier didn't know that PDM's weren't going to be sent any time soon. The small pods were ordered and after waiting 2+ weeks, I received 5 boxes last Friday. (I would have only ordered 1 month if the small ones hadn't been available). I was excited...really looking forward to it. :-(
I called Insulet after they arrived. Insulet said that I wasn't suppose to receive them. Call my supplier and have them swap them out for the old ones. I called a couple additional times and was given the same response. My supplier still didn't know about all of this. I contacted them. They sent emails to Insulet and was told that the pods should not have been given to an existing customer. Insulet said the supplier should have known....but they didn't know.
Insulet told me that they will probably be sending the new PDMs with one of the next orders of Pods....no idea as to when.
I am swapping them out for old ones, because I don't want to buy a PDM and I don't see any use for them. I wish I would have ordered 1 month of the old instead of 3 months of the new....but lessons learned.
The supplier is NOT going to send the PDM..its up to insulet. The only way the supplier is going to provide the PDM, is if you are out of warranty, and jump through the hoops to "renew" (BUY NEW PDM)
Thats what I have run into...I have the pods from Medco, and my PDM warranty is up in 1 month from today. There is no way Insulet is going to get me a PDM in 1 month. Problem is, my insurance has a $1000 deductible, so if the new PDM doesn't come in a month, thats what im stuck with. Called a different (fairly helpful) person at Insulet monday, and she was supposed to call me back " within 24 hrs" oops its FRIDAY now.
I didn't order 1 box of the old ones, cause it doesn't matter if i get 1 box or 4, price is the same.
Sooooo irritated that they are sitting on the PDM's trying to get us out of warranty so they make money off of more of us.
