As a new member to tudiabetes I feel very welcomed. In reality I’ve been using this site for a while. When I had a question I would google for the answers and read a lot on tudiabetes. Recently I felt like I should join this great site become part of a community, a family of people whose lives have been touched by diabetes in some way. I am now excited about the new technology out there and for once believe that there will be a cure for diabetes in my lifetime and if not a cure something real close, such as smartinsulin. Right after my membership was approved a few people welcomed me to the site and it gave me that “warm-tingly” feeling.
I am a seinior in high school, which means a lot of stess and a lot of fun, plus a whole lot of figuring things out. I am also hoping to get my first job soon which falls into the same stress/fun/self-discovery thing.
I have been a type 1 diabetic for about 7 years and am currently an omnipodder. I love it! My privious pump was great, but the cord would get stuck on doors and this one time at camp got caught between chairs in the campus auditorium! The omnipod has qwarks too, but overall I like it more.
Sorry about being all over the place, but I’ve never posted a blog before and I’m excited about this community.
