GROOVY PATCHES!!
has anyone heard of these?? they’re nifty stickers you put on the pads of your infusion site… i was having a dilemma with being on the pump when trotting around in a bathing suit, being with my boyfriend, and being a fashion obsessed freak. But I found this site today and it was like…wow… THIS takes the seriousness out of this disease, the idea of having such an accessible fashion accessory for our pumps really shows that there are millions of people living with this disease, it is manageable, it is a lifestyle. who says you can’t be sexy with an insulin pump hahah (i personally love the leopard and animal skin ones). This put such a smile on my face… it actually inspires me. Im studying visual arts and fashion design… with this whole plan to be a fashion clothing designer… but! what about designing accessories for people who are stuck with lifelong diseases such as diabetes! such as insulin pump holders, i haven’t seen anything great with those yet. Anyways yes… i’ve just gotten artistically enlightened… and now i’m going to go on a shopping spree for groovy patches haha. Marc jacobs and betsy johnson pshhh, lets make some fashionable diabetes wear, you can channel your inner Versace by wearing animal print on your infusion set.
